I’m baaaaaaaaaaaaaack! It’s been a while since I posted here – over a month – and I’m sorry for such a long break but so much has happened in those 5 little weeks. I’ve been so busy lately, even this post was a bit of a rush (hence why I haven’t written much) but I figure you’re all here to see the pretty pictures and read the recipes anyway. Right? Saturday was a very busy day for me. I was lucky enough to be invited to go cook, photograph and eat Afghan food. Never eaten Afghan food? Me neither but I can tell you it’s delicious. A friend has started a cultural event which uses food to help bring different communities together. Their inaugural event is starting with Melbourne’s Afghan community and trying to show people the wonderful aspects of this country. He needed some promotional food shots for the event and so arranged for us to go Dr Nouria
Christmas and New Years are behind us, and I’m well and truly back into the swing of things. This was my first shoot for the year and honestly, I felt a little rusty! It’s actually been quite a while since I photographed some food. I completed shooting all the Christmas recipes at the end of November (ages ago). All December was spent posting on the blog and getting the book ready for print. As I said last week, although it was a mammoth undertaking, it was all totally worth the effort!
