Loose Leaf

I’m extremely fortunate to be friends with a lot of crazy-talented folk. A few posts back I mentioned my friend Wona; she’s an incredible florist with years of experience and awards under her belt. I was lucky enough for her to make the bouquets, lapel pins and arrange the flowers on the arbour for my wedding. The end result was ah-maaazing! Seriously, you throw a few ‘loose’ ideas at her and she’ll make it come to life! About 6 months ago – yes this is how long I’ve been meaning to

Brace yourself people. Disclaimer: This isn’t a food post but I really wanted to share these photos with you. I apologise now for the onslaught of images but who doesn’t love a wedding huh? As I mentioned in my previous post, I’ve been busy editing the ‘Sebily’ wedding photos that my two extremely talented friends Jeremy Howell and Anne-Sophie (aka Sasufi) took for us. I was blown away with the amazing shots they got, they really nailed the brief! Again, I’d like to thank all our friends for helping out

I don’t know about you but I had a fantastic weekend! On Saturday a friend of mine had a few of us over to her place for afternoon tea. It was a beautiful afternoon, complete with sparkling rosé and cucumber sandwiches, a great way to spend a sunny afternoon. Later that night we celebrated a friends 30th at a bar/pizzeria in Fitzroy called Feldmans (named after Corey Feldman!). Great pizza, great music, definitely worth checking out. On Sunday we had a good friend come and visit from Sydney. We thought

The weeks are flying by waaaay too quickly these days. So much to do with the Deja-View cinema, constant tweaking of the blog and trying to sneak in a catchup with friends. BTW – did anybody notice the blog has had a little facelift? All photos now are a super big 700px wide (instead of only 500px) and they look soo much better (if I do say so myself!). Making these small tweaks has been on my list of ‘things to do’ for about a year now and thanks to

I’ve been one very lucky girl this year. I’ve just got back from a wonderful skiing holiday in New Zealand which was incredible! After last years group trip to Mt. Hotham we all decided to go to NZ for our next dip in the snow. Lucky for us we have one super duper organised friend who did all the groundwork for us and found all the best deals. I have to say, New Zealand surpassed all my (already ample) expectations. I’ve been lucky enough to have traveled to quite a

I know it’s a little early to be giving out Christmas presents, but today is the day that I get to give my present to YOU! Yes my lovely readers, this year I wanted to put together a little something to help get your festive season started. A couple of months ago I thought it would be ‘fun’ to cook, style, photograph, retouch, write and design a Christmas book. Yeah – woo!! Well, I can now tell you – it’s quite an effort. I’m exhausted. This week I’ll also be

AWOL & Flowers

Well hello stranger! I have to apologies for not posting last week. I really should have given you an explanation… While you may think I’m neglecting you, I PROMISE I’m not! I’ve been super busy making your Christmas present so keep your eyes peeled for the 1st December. That’s all I’m saying ;) I’ve been rather busy over the last couple of weeks so I decided to put the regular posts on hold until December 4th. However I thought I’d post these stunning peonies I received from my friend the

Good morning/afternoon everybody! This week, as promised, I have photos to share from the latest food shoot I did for Bishop of Ostia in Brunswick. I think last week I may have made a little mistake and said it was for Pope Joan (the sister restaurant right next door) so my apologies! Luckily for you, I have a bit more information about what’s on offer. Chef Matt Wilkinson has created a delicious “Duck cassoulet of sorts with pressed spiced leg and a Brussels sprout leaves salad“. To compliment these delicious

Since moving to Melbourne I’ve been using my friend’s bike to get around but last week the brakes went and had to catch a tram to work (eeiiiwww). Sooooo, I decided to buy a brand new bike. My new bike is very pretty indeed – Image courtesy of Giant Bikes It’s got all the bells and whistles, including a kickstand, reflective wheels, mint green wheel hubs (I guess that’s what they’re called?) and a matching mint green basket (all I need now is a little puppy to put in it!)

After 8 months of living out of a suitcase and a small tea create box of clothes, I will once again be settled in a house I can call my own-ish! After living in the UK for almost 5 years, Seb and I decided to move back to Australia. Although not moving back home/home to Hobart, we’ve relocated to just a hop skip and a jump over the pond to Melbourne, which is the perfect sized city. It’s got that small town friendliness feel with that extra pizzaz of cool
