A friend’s baby shower

Jenna's baby shower 1-1

Last night I was going through my old photos and trying to make some much needed space on my computer when I came across these photos. They’re from a baby shower I held for my friend close to a year ago! Baby Frank is close to one so I thought it was (probably) time to share these photos with you.

I love throwing a party, especially when I get to decorate! I opted out of the traditional pink and blue baby showers (even though I knew Jenna was having a little boy) and thought I’d go with (probably an equally cheesy) birds and bees theme. I found the tutorial for the flowers over here and I made and printed the bees myself. The cake, also made by me, was a feat unto itself!

I bought all flowers from my favourite florist Loose Leaf and from memory I bought the honeycomb balls, napkins and strawers from just from the $2 shop on Smith street – Thanks Hot Potato! :)

I guess it’s quite fitting that I might mention that I’ve now got my own bun in the oven? I’m currently 32 weeks (or 7 months in normal time) and have 8 weeks to go (if all goes to plan). It’s a little girl and we’re still pretty stumped for names at this point. Any suggestions are most welcome! I’ve finished up all client work now so I may even have time to post a little something here. Seriously, I’m the worst with the blog at the moment. Sorry guys!
